GROWERS USING GREENSPEC SOFTWARE
Clients since 2009
The Greenspec software has come on the market in 2009. Since then hundreds of growers have started using it. We are a small player in the market for greenhouse software. But: Greenspec software is very flexible.
The system is cheap to extend: when adding extra electronic input/output controls we charge a little for the additional software you will use. In this way both the small and the large grower can afford Greenspec. We are especially open for improvement by suggestion of the client.
WHO ARE THE GROWERS USING GREENSPEC
Growers go from small to very big
a group uses just one standard AFP and one AFP Lite for fertilizer control in a 1 ha greenhouse. The biggest user has installed 22 AFP and lots of extras at a surface over 20 ha for very complex climate and water regulation.
The system is also placed in very different climates: from the north of the Netherlands up to the tropics in Costa Rica and Equador
The Greenspec system works even with simple equipment but mainly with advanced systems:
- Heating of the the greenhouse: very special is with a wood heater. But many work with a combination of boilers and cogenerating systems at the same time.
- Fertiliser dosing: some use a premixed fertiliser, controlled on EC and adjusted on pH. But most growers make their own mixture out of concentrated solutions. Reusing the drain water is for many a necessary option, as water may no longer be discharged.
- Some cultures only use daylight but the Greenspec system manages also many variations of light systems.

Our clients grow many different crops.
From strawberries, tomatoes, cucumbers, sweet peppers to eggplants. And also growers of potting plants for further propagation, growing all species of chillies, growing ornamental plants….
