Three different types of AFP Nano, all with their own functionality
Greenspec designed the AFP Nano series to optimize the available units. They are an addition to the AFP standard or the AFP 63.
It is a small unit with an optical connection and a few functions: a very handy series from Greenspec.
It can be handily placed on the optical line, needs only a 24 V connection and is compact. At this moment we have 3 standard variations, but the concept is used for other functions.
All three have the function to reinforce the optical signal inside your greenhouse,
- The line repeater is used only to reinforce the optical signal.
- The Meteo WSC11 connects the Thies WSC11 meteo station.
- The SHT Measurement box has a measurement unit for temperature and humidity.

AFP Nano Meteo
This version of the Nano unit reads the signals from the Thies meteo WSC11 and converts them into data in the optical line.
Advantage of using the Nano meteo
The complete functionality of the Thies Meteo WSC11 is available. And you are able to place it at a good point for a meteo station, even if it is far from your office. You only need a 24V and an optical line connection, the box is weathertight. The alternative is to read the data directly into the computer over a special converter, however that often gives problems if your grounding is not good.
Place of the Nano Meteo
You can choose to place it just at the pole, or inside of the greenhouse where the signal line provided by Thies comes in. The Thies WSC11 is simple, reads many data and is compact. With the AFP Nano you overcome the problems with connecting it to your data logging.
AFP Nano SHT
This is a compact measurement box for temperature, humidity and optional CO2.
With the integrated optical connection you have a signal enforcer included. You can place it between your plants, by hanging it up. It has been tested against standard temperature and humidity sensors and the system is just as efficient, with minimal maintenance.
AFP Nano Line
The line repeater is used in the optical line: the signal in the line can run for ca 120 m, but then it has to be reinforced. The AFP line enforcer does just that.
